I'd like some clarification on what is meant by "drug-talk". Does this really mean that any mention of using prescription medications has to be edited out of an article taken from a magazine?

I'm also wondering if the ban on "weight-talk" does in fact mean that the use of the adjective "skinny" is forbidden?

I have interpreted these two rules as meaning that there can not be any discussion about weight (outside the one thread) or illegal substances - by members of this forum. (Since medical advice is also not allowed, of course also what can be said about any medication would be very limited.)

Are things said by the editor of French vogue in a quoted article to be seen as "talk"?

If an article has relevance, then it can be posted, unedited.
If however the majority of the content of an article is about weight/drugs/politics etc... then the article will either be removed (drugs/politics) or will be moved to the weight thread.

In this case, part of the article (which was not relevant to the main subject of the article) contained drug and weight references which were removed. The concern is those parts becoming more important that the main subject and therefore causing the discussion to go off-topic. MMA was correct in posting a link to the unedited version.
