I finally paid for my upgrade this morning with PayPal. When will the changes take effect and what will I be looking for? I wasn't sure if my avatar size would automatically change on its own or what.
When your uploading an avatar, it should say below what the maximum size for your avatar can be...its either 80x80 or 160x80 It should be 160x80 for a premium account, you can also check by seeing how much of your inbox is full as you should have 1000 messages allowed instead of 50
That helps a ton! I checked and it still has the old settings for the regular membership. I guess the changes have not been made yet. Thanks again for your help!
Ok, I am back with more questions today. The change still has not happened, and I am wondering if there is something else I need to do (other than pay for the upgrade, which I did), and how long did it take for others to see changes? Thanks again!
^I would try PMing Andy if your account still isn't upgraded by Sunday -- it is somewhat strange that the transition didn't occur instantly for you, but I'm sure it's not the first time that's happened
It could have been the type of payment from paypal but don't take my word for it. For example I bought somehting off ebay with paypal, but its taking a couple of days for "pending e check" because the money is coming straight out of my bank account. I don't know if it's different if you're paying through money that is already in a paypal account, or one attatched with a credit card for payment.
^ I think you're right. I checked PayPal and the money is still uncleared from my bank account. Once it clears, I am sure my upgrade will take place. Fingers crossed, anyway!
I wasn't sure if there was some waiting period or something.
