About Post Counts ... They Dropped / They Don't Go Up ... Why?

Where have you been posting? If you read back, some forums don't add to your post count.

I don't remember exactly when it happened .. but within the last 6 months, I would say.

That rule is really annoying. I keep posting lots of FASHION related posts and images about The Kills and my posts don't increase even though most people consider them style icons, because they are in The Sidewalk Cafe. I think they need to review that rule...

I posted in the Star/Celebrity Style thread and it didn't add to my post count. It does this every now and then in threads where posts should be counted.

Not sure if your posting in Celebrity Singers/Musicians but it should count towards your total post count. I made the argument awhile ago that this thread is no different than star style. So the mods lifted the ban on that thread specifically .

Party_Vixen.. you mean 'forum' when you say 'thread' right ?

Because we can't edit postcount to include some threads in a forum and not other threads in the same forum.

Wether or not post in a particular thread's posts count is determined by the setting of the forum/subforum it is located in.

^ Oops yeah I meant sub-forum. I checked and all posts do count there. But it is my understanding that it is the only sub-forum in the sidewalk cafe where posts count.

NOTICE: The Moderators are once again embarking on a major clean up of tFS ... which will last for a few weeks. This involves deleting a lot of old theads and the posts that are included. So if you see your post count dropping, this is why.

We do not have the system to keep the deleted posts included in the members' post counts when they are deleted. We appologize for an inconvenience that you might experience as a result of this.

We aren't deleting any high activity threads ... but we may be merging errant posts into them. Our cleanup is mainly getting rid of really old threads and those that only had a couple of responses from as far back as 2004, if they cannot be merged with a current, ongoing thread. And deleting posts with old, dead links ... things like that. So don't worry about loosing anything that is current. You probably won't even notice anything, except possible some changes in thread titles on occassion as we merge some threads that seem to belong together. A mod may pull an active thread for an hour or two ... to work on it, but it will be back. Don't know anything specific Mischa Barton thread ... but it should still be there.
