I think it has happened twice. I noticed karma from one user and then in just a couple of minutes, it was gone.
Is it a bug in the system, or can users change their minds about having given karma?

Speculation (I don't know if the following would cause removal of karma)
2) If the karma'ed post is deleted, would the karma note disappear ?
If you remember which post it was given to, you could check to see if the post is still there.
3) The member had his/her account deleted (Accounts can only be deleted if the member has few or none posts).
Was the karma new or at the bottom of the list? If it is the latter, it's been bumped off the page by new karma (not all your karma points & comments are kept).

I am pretty sure that if a post is deleted, the karma goes with it. That is a vBulletin default AFAIK.

im almost sure thats the reason...happened to me yesterday and i know the post got deleted
