Eye Lash Growth

i don't suppose i can just rub rogaine all over my eye, so is there anything that helps increase eye lash growth?

i had long lashes before, but when i was curling them a while ago, i slipped, so i yanked some off

Try applying vaseline. It helps elongate the eyelashes. I suggest you dab it on at night. Since you won't be blinking unconsciously. But then again putting vaseline on your eyelashes could actually be harmful because unwanted particle could migrates into your eyes and can cause infection and you don't want gunky build-up from the aftermath.

I guess I'm trying ward you off from the effect it has. But it's just a suggestion. If all doesn't work... just let it grow out. It'll take quite awhile. Good luck to you!

Don't wear ANY mascara for a month. Mascara makes your eyelashes brittle. You must care for your eye-region at this time. Make sure you get enough sleep, so your body can regenerate. Drink lots of water too.

I had a "smashbox' makeup training at work yesterday- and they mentioned if you were waterproof mas. w/o a primer ( the white mascara) your lashes fall out in 10 days. Waterproof w/primer last 80 days. Regular Mascara with primer makes lashes last 180 days. So ladies- wear your primer.. its essentially a deep conditioner. Also- it was suggested to wear it at night time (the primer) for extra conditioning.

^yeah I've been wearing waterproof mascara without primer lately and I've notice my lashes are a lot thinner! I wonder if wearing primer by itself at night time would help? because its suppose to help condition your eyelashes I might have to try that too.

Jan Marini age intervention eyelash

i have not used this personally, but i have heard great things about this product for eye lashes.

Quote:
Age Intervention Eyelash

Short, thinning and missing eyelashes are one of the top patient concerns. This issue has been discussed in medical journals, and physicians have debated about possible remedies. Age Intervention Eyelash is stunning new eyelash technology from Jan Marini Skin Research that gives you the lashes of your dreams. Longer, fuller, thicker, darker and noticeably lusher looking lashes. Initial results are visible as early as the first one to two weeks. By three weeks of evening use, the difference can actually be measured! At twelve weeks, testers couldn't believe their eyes.
Age Intervention Eyelash goes beyond lash extensions and delivers eyelashes that are truly remarkable. Regardless of how thin, sparse or short a user's eyelashes are, and even if sections of eyelashes are missing, Age Intervention Eyelash will help you achieve amazing looking eyelashes.

I put vaseline on them every night and it works very well.
People ask me, If I am wearing mascara and what I use.

there is a product called Talika that helps your eyelashes grow, you can buy it at Sephora. it comes either in a pot or in a tube. i use the pot.
I did the same thing once, pulled out some lashes, was incredibly incredbly upset! but this talika thing works, and my lashes are nice and long again very happy.

by reading thru this thread tho, i really need to go get myself some eyelash primer!
and, i try to avoid wearing mascara on a daily basis now, if your lashes are nice and healthy it looks rather good without, and i rather go without than have my lashes fall off, regardless of how much i love mascara, and trust me, I REALLY DO! hahahaha!

I used to use vaseline but stopped for whatever reason (probably just forgot to put it on). I was rereading the mascara thread and a couple of people mention castor oil. I started it and my eyelashes are noticably thicker and darker (they are already very long). From my perpsective I would totally recommend this over vaseline.

i stopped wearing mascara some time ago, and my lashes are crazy long
i don't even need eye liner anymore... so i'd suggest just stop using mascara for awhile. i also heard that if you use waterproof eye liner consistently starting young (teenage) then your eye lashes will be dead by the time your 40.
