Icon7 Free People

Just got the April 2008 catalog in the mail.
I've always loved their things - especially their dresses and boots.
My only complaint would be the prices, but their items are good quality.

What about everyone else?
Have you ever shopped there, liked something from there, etc?

Wow, I'm surprised there isn't already a thread for this! I love Free People, although I do think it's overpriced for certain items... :P I have bought many random things from them, including a scarf, vest, and dress. They have the cutest shopping bags, though! I am going to use mine as a beach bag during the summer. :]

Yes! I absolutely love their stuff. I have a woven sweater that was overpriced but it's beautiful.

Where I work actually sells Free People and it does really well here. My boss is also genius at ordering their cute pieces, though, so what I do see I often like. They make excellent staples and layering pieces!

I'm glad to hear everyone else likes it as much as I do!

i like free people but find that a lot of it is overpriced..

i don't think i've ever bought anything by them that wasn't on sale..

but i do really like the pieces i have..
the materials are nice but nothing out of this world..

definitely a young and sometimes trendy feeling..
their clothes often have interesting, youthful cuts and shapes..

I found Free People walking along 5th Avenue one day, and fell in love with this pair of moccasins (sp) they had, which were one of the most beautiful pairs I'd ever seen, I couldn't afford them though , or anything else in the store for that metter, but I did like what I saw. I also found out they're assosiated with Anthropologie and Urban Outfitters, two other stores I love!

And while I liked them before, I'm not going to lie and say the fact that my blog was featured/written about on the Free People blog (http://blog.freepeople.com/) didn't win me over a bit more. What can I say, I'm not immune to the winning powers of nice flattery.

By the way, is it just me or is it kind of funny how everyone and their dog seems to have a blog these days? Blogging used to be so individual and personal, but now most businesses and stores have blogs too.
