I love those boots too, but like you, havent been able to track them down, they look like they could be worn though which suggests they might be vintage! Have you had any luck?

they are definitely vintage. If you see the heel, they are very worn in.If you want similar, and live in London, go to Portobello. There's a cute stall there that copies vintage items and I just saw an exact same pair there a week ago-they were beautiful-the same brown colour, soft suede and handmade. You'll definitely notice the stall-one of the pricier and bigger ones. If you go to oxford st, saxone are doing a pair for about £60 or something like that. A lot of places in portobello will have them though. I've also seen similar on ebay. Just type in "Moccasin boots".

I think those boots are pretty cool, but the thing with funky unique items is they lose their appeal when the masses get their hands on them.

Kate Moss never wears her Vivienne Westwood pirate boots anymore, for example.

That's the price you have to pay for setting trends, I suppose, although personally I wouldn't have it any other way, rather setting than copying.

you have a point...it's the very reason i coudn't bring myself to buy the pirate boots...once they became readily available and more widespread...they lost their appeal for me...
