they're overpriced and bad quality, but still cool. I just think they're not worth the money anymore, thanks to nike.

I have had a few pairs since I was about 13. I have had black, off white, green, and blue. I almost got a pair of turquoise in chicago recently, but didn't. I find I prefer vans old skool to converse. I just wear my grungy black ones almost everyday b/c I am too lazy to be bothered on trying to be stylish shoe-wise when I am only going to school.

Whatever, call me a cheap-***, but I don't think they're bad quality at all... I mean, in the market out there, you can't find a decent pair of shoes if they're not worth more than $500 ...I have Converse in every colors, and I also custominze them with stones, graffiti or any other media...and these shoes have handled a lot... considering my lifestyle...

I just bought a pair the other day. They're like a shimmery pink colour. Looks like there's some sparkly thread woven in them or something. They're higher than the ankle ones and cost cost $110. I think that's quite alot since I paid $35 back in '96 for the kelly green ones!

If the quality is anything like it used to be, the rubber wears ridiculously fast, and the canvas tears and gets holes very easily.

The Quality isnt all that great, but there still alot cheaper than other shoes

i agree with alex that the rubber soles ware easy, and i notice the black line on the sides peels off after only 1.5months

^Yeah. I mean, imagine how much they cost to make. Can't be more than a few bucks. At the rate they're mass-produced, I wouldn't be surprised if it was like $1 a pair. Maybe less.

i think it depends where you come from. not very many kids in my elem. school wore them though i had a sweet *** pair of LA Gear black suede hi tops with turquoise laces in elem school. gotta love LA gear. my converse gave me the worst blisters the first time i wore them. i could only wear flip flops for a week.
