Huh, I haven't gotten a notification yet and that's exactly what I ordered like two weeks ago. I hope they come soon...
This thread kinda makes me happy, since I work at a SM store. I have the black patent Lalo's, and after seeing the bruge's, I'm kinda happy with the lalo version better. I just think it looks sexier.
Also, did anyone see the Lusta, it's a knock off of another of his shoes, with a slingback, also pretty nice.
The Lalo is much cuter than the rather blocky Bruges, but there's something almost too commercial, too sweet, about them, they're still adorable though, and inexpensive.

I saw them in Kingston, so know what you're talking about. I very stupidly didnt buy them at the time and decided to go back. Of course they are not there now and I've tried about 10 other stores with no luck
I've seen the Steve Madden shoes around being compared to the Bruges.. but actually my first thought when I saw them was that they reminded me of a very toned-down version of the high Lanvin peep-toe cone heels.
I got my black patent Monday and I'm wearing them today. I love them and they look really lux for the price. I'd say they run true to size. I ordered an 8 1/2 (my usual size) and they fit perfectly.
I saw the Lalos way back on Steve Madden's website but I haven't bought them yet simply b/c I'm not sure which color I like best. It looks great in all the colors and then they came out with the Lustas so the decision was made even more difficult for me. All those different colors in closed back or the slingback.. I still can't decide. Now I heard they're being sold like hotcakes and I'm lucky if I find any of those colors in size 7.
ordered mine feb 14th and still haven't recieved. SteveMadden.com says still "processing" anyone else get theirs or not? Credit card hasn't been charged yet either.

Madden's Lalu is an "homage" to the Bruges. It comes in red, black, brown, white and tan. The site says that it'll ship to stores on March 10th - I've heard they are expected to sell fast. You can pre-order your pair now at for $129 on www.stevemadden.com - I attached a pic of the Lalu in Red below.
I hope they come soon...
