Mistress, I totally agree! Esp. the lug-sole ones!!!! YIKES!

I am still kind of awed by the new Louboutins though - daresay I am getting very sick of them (especially after viewing the ioffer thread that talks about all the fakes out there - makes me really burnt out on Louboutin).

don't these remind you of the Rick Owens wedges but in a simpler, less clumsy design? they are ysl ankle boots and are on my list.

I've been trying to decide for the last hour and I really love both for different reasons. I think the ysl will go on sale and then I can get both but I dont know if I want to spend my clothing budget for an entire season on shoes

dont mean to sound like an enabler here...but, I know you like Rick Owens quite a bit and the YSL are a better version of that take...it is really hard to find a good high wedge boot that is level enough to walk in with ease, not to mention the tapered toe and graceful shape of the boot. its a ying yang design for me. I think both shoes will be on sale eventually, but the Diors sooner because of the over exposure, so maybe that will help. I was smitten with the Diors at first too, because of the biker style and origami cutouts, not to mention the studs so I understand you enthusiasm for those. keep an eye on the quality of the construction.

OMG!! those ysl ankle boots are pure lust!!

Guessgirl96 between the diors and the boots i'd go for the boots cause i think with all the ko's, the diors are getting ordinary and the boots i doubt they'll ever be....besides, they look comfy and like something you can wear almost everyday, more than you can say about a 12cm stiletto....still the price is crazy so good luck on your decision

Those Stella Mcartney shoes are scary.

I do love the look of the YSL shoes though. And I will always think Marc Jacobs shoes are cute(in most cases ,I hated the ss08 ones).
