TOMS shoes

Is anybody else obsessed with TOMS shoes?

http://www.tomsshoes.com/

prettylegit.blogspot.com

They come in lots of colors, they are super comfy, and for every pair you buy, a pair is donated to a child in need around the world! So far, the company has donated about 60,000 pairs of shoes to children in Argentina and South Africa, and plans to donate 200,000 in 2008!

I own one pair right now that I've had for like 3 months, and I just ordered 2 more pairs!

I love them. I wear it while running errands and junk. I hate the look of toes/feet so flip flops are not an option for me. Plus, they are comfy.

I wanted to get into Tom's like 2 - 3 years ago, but at the time they didn't ship outside of the US. Don't know if that policy has changed....

You should write the company and tell them about this! I'm sure if you don't fit in any of their sizes, there are poor children around the world that aren't able to fit into any of the donated TOMS either.

Are you guys aware that these shoes cost $5 usd in argentina? I couldn't believe when I saw these being PRed the way they are.

The generic ones I mean.. this is just a brand that came up not too long ago and we've been wearing these forever as far as I know.. they are the typical countryside shoes for us like the uggs to aussies

Yeah I think most people are aware that these are a popular style of shoe in South/Central America. But part of the appeal of TOMS is that for every shoe bought, one is donated to a child in need. So even if they are pricey, you just have to think of the cost that is associated with packing, shipping, and delivering these shoes to needy children around the world, which factored into the price.
