After seasons of shapeless and loose silhouette, NYFW has been showcasing an army of tight, short, body-conscious, and sometimes bondage/Herve Leger like dresses. Not my cup of tea, but notably a trend nonetheless
I LOVE the black off-the-shoulder one from Narciso. It's definitely got that Leger/Alaia glamazon vibe, but it doesn't look like a pale imitation of the originals.

i'm glad to see the return of more body-conscious shapes....
though i'm a fan of the billowing blouses/dresses etc, i have a thin waist and i should probably get back to emphasizing that instead of hiding it under swathes of fabric
L'wren Scott's designs always have that sort of whipcracking vibe, but done in a sort of haughty, elegant way.
