Anyone know the name/number/color of the Docs in 487? I love that color!

It's so funny. I had tons of Doc's when I was younger. My mom would buy me a new pair every fall when school started. I aquired many many many pairs. I used to wear them with thick tights and dresses.

Me too. I assume you're a teenager of early nineties too? I could never get my mum to buy me any, we were too poor, but my nan got me some and I still have them, absolutely shagged and tatty, but still about!

Either with skinny jeans or baggy jeans tucked in, or bootcut jeans covering the boot. Or with shorts

for me... docs never went out of style. i would always see people wearing them at (punk/hardcore) shows. they look great, but are soooo uncomfortable - especially the steel toed ones. i say get a vintage pair so you don't have to break them in yourself ;]

The way I wear them, although not a man, but this could happily transfer to a man, would be with skinny, but not stretch, jeans, with a shirt and crew neck jumper. Looks quite cool in a skinhead (but without the nazi connotations!) way. Think 'This Is England' as opposed to Romper Stomper. Otherwise they look good with slim cut trousers or slightly looser jeans.

Agree Mindbear, straight leg 7/8 pants go well on men and women.
Dug my old faithfuls out the closet before winter started here, patent 8holes that have been so well loved, and still going strong after 15 years!!

Oooh, fifteen year old patents! You must have been the coolest person ever! I would have DIED if i'd got my hands on some patent ones in the uk years in the early nineties, but they were only available in cherry red and black and steel toe caps.

I am tempted to get some of the primark DM rips offs in patent, just because I can't afford to buy the proper ones right now and I already have my beloved cherry reds.

That's awesome!

I think I'm going to get the black patent ones...they'd go with a couple of dresses I've got...but I do like the bright pink
