OK Im not even sure if this is the right thread to post in so feel free to delete/or have a shift about.
Anyways ive noticed that alot of people are starting to wear them again ... i just kind of wondered if this was a global thing or even across england .. or just in my city maybe ... hmm just thinking aloud really.
Ok so i just wondered what you opinions are ??
and weather people in your area are wearing them again ??
Docs used to be huge here in the states - they have't been that big in a while. They were big in the 90s when we had that whole ganster look going on...
Couple of my friends have bought themselves Docs during this spring. I think they are becoming/have become popular again...I'd say it's part of the punk/rock'n'roll/gothic trend.
Btw, other one of my friends bought her Doc Martens from UK, where you said it was becoming popular...You can't find them easily here, or so I've heard.

they were huge in uk in the ninties as well with flowery or baby doll dresses for girls and flanel shirts for the guys .. the whole grunge look
Actually, I, too, have started noticing a slight revival..As stated before, and Im sure this applies to international territory as well as here in the States, they WERE very popular here in the early/mid 90's, but as far as I could tell, the only ones who still continued to wear them were those into the punk/goth lifestyle..Now, Im slowly starting to see them more & more here on the T in Boston (T: public train, "tube" in the UK)..Actually, I think i still have my old pair from freshman year in high-school..
It was bound to happen sooner or later..dont "trends" almost always resurface seasons/years later?
Anyway, Doc's rule. As far as what to wear them with, I don't think there's a wrong way to wear them. I like lacing them up about half way and folding down the sides sometimes, or wrapping the laces around the boot midway, then tie them, then tuck your pants into them. I do that riding.
my last pair of doc martens boots fell apart 10 years ago
i still have a pair of low green ones (no boots) and i've been thinking of painting/dying them golden .. only i don't know how... i should go to the customizations thread and ask...
