i love the pvc latex look like the ones at gareth pugh, i could maybe see myself wearing that look to some places like ayce and anti social and i love the dior looks but i have a feeling i'd look like a fashion victim in them or infact anything dior these days

I think leather/latex will be a great edgy look if worn properly, especially leather pants...more easier on the eye too than latex leggings.

I shudder to think of how latex leggings will look like with the wrong styling

I'd wear leather ones..maybe..I'm not sure whether they would look alright on me though. But latex..don't think so. Too risky for moi.

i will bet LOTS of money that not ONE editor who actually USED latex leggings for their stories would be caught dead walking around like that on the street...

and i know for a fact ...
that most of the ones used in editorials are FROM SEX SHOPS...
so don't waste your money on some fancy designer nonsense....
get thee to a sex shop...

...

leather pants...that is a whole different ball game...
the loose leather leggings that ann d did would actually be good as part of the whole grungey- layering -marc jacobs aesthetic for fall...
but of course...she didn't do them this year......

...
my leather pants are daryl k and i've had them for years..
they keep your legs super warm on very cold and windy days...
much better than jeans......
and cooler too!...

*oh- and mine do not fit like a second skin...
i do not think there is a way to wear skintight on the street without looking like a streetwalker...
i don't care how skiny you are or whatever....
it just looks like hookerwear...imo...

i had this amazing picture of a girl wearing slouchy leather pants, an oversize white shirt, nude croc belt, and i think burgundy velvet pumps with a loose trench over it all. she looked amazing, i cant seem to find the picture now but i will look a bit more.

the latex leggings are EXTREMELY tricky...but i do like the idea of black latex leggings with a really nubby and wooly oversize grey sweater dress over them.

A few years ago I used to wear latex and leather pants (with straps and all). Sincerely it's not something you will keep doing for long so avoid splurging for this. Oh and you can't have an ounce of fat on your body so it's really body fascist...

On a girl this could work if it's a nice constrast otherwise it's too harsh.

Great trend spotting!

As long as it's faux leather, extra shiny and skinny, I am all for this... Love it piled up with layers of long dangling tops and boots. Very chic and modern.

I'll try finding some pics to post later.

note: I can't tell for sure what the heck these are.... boots!? dark denim?! or just regular fabric pants but they could serve as an example of possible skinny latex pants styling....

My first thought when thinking of latex garments is "wouldn't every little fuzz and hair and piece of lint stick to them?" Like balloons when they get static-y. Especially if you put that eros lube stuff someone suggested over them. I may be wrong but I can just imagine trying them and this is the problem I am forseeing.... is it accurate or no?

i find it personally really hard to pull of unless my legs are fabulous looking..and long
especially the latex leggings..too much attention..too little to show off

but if i want to do leather and tightness...i would wear thigh high leather boots instead..like the ones from chanel
i want a pair of thigh high boots so much..sigh
