With her patterned wrap dress - a look popular with Kate - it appeared Pippa had been taking style cues from her older sister, or perhaps just raided her wardrobe.
While Kate's on-off relationship with Prince William has hogged the headlines Pippa is equally determined to have fun after splitting from her boyfriend Hong Kong banking scion 'JJ' Jardine Patterson at Edinburgh University.

The 'sizzler sisters' both like partying at Mahiki - and keeping company with men in blue shirts

Earlier in the summer 22-year-old Pippa had allowed Kate to guide her round London's social scene but at Mahiki's in Mayfair last night, a favourite watering-hole of Prince William's, she was without a sibling escort.
Instead she was joined by William and Harry's friend Guy Pelly.
He has been dubbed the court jester of the set after he was wrongly blamed for introducing a youthful Prince Harry to cannabis and latenight drinking.

While big sister Kate has been deliberately staying away from the social whirligig that is Royal Ascot, Pippa Middleton, 23, has been venturing out on the party scene.

The slim brunette was at auction house Sotheby's glittering summer bash at their Bond Street HQ - and immediately triggered a riddle.

For accompanying her was 24-year-old George Percy, heir to the Duke of Northumberland and a former flatmate from their days at Edinburgh University. The pair have been linked in the past, but deny they are an item.

"It's true we're often seen together, but we're not going out, we are just very old friends," says Pippa, who was having a rare night off from her new job at events company Table Talk.

Meanwhile, Pippa is planning her next social event - Wimbledon.

"I've not been to Ascot because I don't like racing, but I love tennis and am going to get along some time next week," she says.

Pippa Middleton: Left red faced after fashion show snub by Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie


Pippa Middleton has become a ubiquitous fixture on the social circuit but not everyone has warmed to Kate’s younger sister.

In an embarrassing episode, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie snubbed the 23-year-old party hostess at a recent Issa fashion show and refused to make space for her in the front row.

‘One of the organisers asked Beatrice and Eugenie if they could move up but they refused,’ I am told.
‘Photographers were taking pictures of Pippa who was getting redder by the second,’ said a witness. ‘In the end, she had to find another seat that wasn’t in the front row.’
Perhaps Beatrice, who was left off Kate’s invite list to a recent roller-skating charity disco, wanted to make her feelings known to the Middletons.
