I saw the movie the other day... which got slammed by critics.

I thought it was sooo beautiful tho. I wanted to steal all the men's period costumes!

Did anyone else see it?

Or see the miniseries from the 80s?

I adore the miniseries, it's perfection, one of the best adaptations ever.

I've only seen a few clips from the movie, but it looks awful, doesn't capture the mood at all, and it seems they've changed characters and storyline to make it more dramatic or whatever. But I guess if you try to avoid comparing it to the series (or the novel, for that matter), it could be good entertainment.
