Actually, the model on that V cover was Yesim Ak, not Malek. I have the issue and I just checked.

Malek is really gorgeous though!

No, Lolita, I haven't seen her anywhere since that V issue. Even a Google search returned no results.

Though I feel like I saw her on models.com or Hintmag or something before she got that cover. I'd really like to know more about her.

Ok! I found out where I saw her. In V-Mail section of the September/October 2002 V (with Christy Turlington on the cover), there is a small picture of Yesim with:

My name is Yesim I'm a 24 year old from NYC e-mail me! greyblue@yahoo.com

She looks very pretty and more ethnic than on the V cover--perhaps of Middle-Eastern descent?

She really must be an unknown because V didn't even list an agency in her cover caption. Weird?

Ciara is very pretty

, but the girl I am talking about has freckles, and her eyes are dark. I am not sure if they are brown, but at least very dark blue. She looks like a mix of Jeisa and Mini Anden.
