I 've got some info :-) I think I read an art. in the guardian, but can't find it now.

3 ROOMS
10 Corso Como, Milan (00 39 02 654831; www.3rooms-10corsocomo.com). Carla Sozzani, the woman behind 10 Corso Como - and sister to the editor-in-chief of Italian Vogue, has extended her idea of beautiful living by adding a mini-hotel, 3 Rooms, to her portfolio. Each apartment has 10 Corso Como branded goodies, from perfumes to throwaway cameras. Furnishings are contemporary, with designs by Eero Saarien, Joe Colombo and Arne Jacobsen. £££

I really don't have a problem with this, just as long as the designer wanting a hotel is in his vision not really just to cash in on his name. I'm sure, as Lena said, great minimalism, and good taste. Plus, Armani Casa has uber chic lines.

PS The Corso Como 10 rooms (I saw them on Fashion File) are gorgeous.

Oooh, now I want to stay at 10 Corso Como! I am sure it would be fabulous. I am loving the great boutique hotels being established around the world. Many of them are so stylish.

It's on the Gold Coast in Australia.

I have stayed there a few times, and it was - well - an experience! They do have a very good Masquerade Ball though.

They (designers) must be getting bored and want to try something new.

supposedly she lends the space mainly to her famous or powerfull friends to stay while in Milan. if one id lucky and the rooms are free, can actually rent one (i wish)
promise to post photos when i have the time

This I gotta see. Owning hotels seems to be the trend for designers these days.
