Nicolas Ghesquière injected a dose of rock ’n’ roll attitude into Balenciaga this season.
While there were hints of Fifties couture in pale colors like green almond and flesh, the collection was graphic and punched up with tougher elements, including studs and leather motorcycle pants.

Some of it is very pretty...
Though most of it is too severe for me...
I always feel like I wouldn't be able to move in
any of Nicholas' designs...
I like the weaved Le Dix in theory...
But something is off about it... too much blk., maybe...?
Ty for posting!

I LOVE the last looks in post 1 and both looks in post 2. The accessories are really morrocan/middle eastern resort to me. The color palette is a little blah. This is only ok for a resort collection for Balenciaga.

I was following the pack all swallowed in their coats with scarves of red tied ’round their throats to keep their little heads from fallin’ in the snow and I turned ’round and there you go and, Michael, you would fall and turn the white snow red as strawberries in the summertime..
I LOVE that first dress with the band down the side, and the black blazer/strapless top/skinny trouser look is pretty great as well.
I'm glad to see him continuing some of the shapes from fall. This isn't as powerful as that was, but the pieces look great.
