he is overdoing the burberry=chic warrior with platform heels and belts over cardigans + layers and layers toped with a trench....

i wish he did some much softer look... maybe more delicate... delicate doesnt mean weak! i'm sure he can make it delicate and still strong (like i guess he sees the burberry woman/girl)

It's funny you bring up the whole warrior/punk strength thing, because in all reality I have never found his clothes particularly strong and powerful looking.

I don't think his designs ever go that deep. It's like, one season he wants to be strong so he covers everything in studs and patent leather, the next season he wants to be quirky so he mixes patterns and puts socks with sandals. It's so formulaic, it's textbook fashion.

I used to think his only strength was his eye for styling, at this point I'm not even sure he has that.

but the accessories.. the bag and shoe kind of doesn't match the rest.. it's so w hite/clean and reminds me of sports.. this nylon mesh that you wear when playing sports --i like the texture though

i agree, spike. too literal. and maybe prada is too..

I like the jewels...
& from what I can see, the 1st dress in post#1
looks cute..

The sock combination is horrid w/ those shoes...
The wht. bags are very BV..
& those shoes look like a pr. I recently saw in sale
section of Zara...

I like it. Accessories are great, and trenches! But I definitely agree with everyone on socks thing, not good!

thinking about it, you are totally right i guess... the intention seems to be strong (chrome and chunky heels).. yet it's never deep enough (strength means more than just throwing a bunch of random studs together)
i really liked chris first... i just hope he finds a way to surprise us (let that be soon)

well its resort , so its NOT suppose to be groundbreaking but I do hope he updates or changes up his trenches , they are getting a bit boring. I love the pants and accessories though .

im a burberry customer , I own a burberry runway trench and all I have to say is ,burberry customers could really give a shiiat about burberry being redundant , I see it as classics and Bailey can make them for as long as he likes . Another thing burberry makes the best pants , killer heels another big plus.

*yawn*

I'm bored. The design is bland. It's been this way for a couple of seasons now. I would like to see a new image, a new idea to inspire English sophistication.

Although, I must admit I do quite like the textures. They seem almost baroque. Opulence is always a plus in my books.
