Caroline Charles S/S 08 London

Quote:
The Designer

London can’t boast many designers who began their careers in the sixties and are still creating with a great sense of style and a passion for their craft. She has shops strategically placed throughout the UK; key international stockists and licensees in Japan. She celebrated the 40th year of her business with a party in 2002 at the V & A and was also awarded an OBE for services to the British fashion industry.

The Collections

Her business thrives with 3 main collections each season. The Studio Collection is a special and limited edition of pieces often embroidered or beaded and inspired by antique textiles; Caroline Charles London is the core range of day and evening tailoring and softer pieces that women with busy working, travelling and social lives can rely on for essentially feminine, crisp clothes; The Caroline Collection is a stylish and ageless range of jeans, knitwear, shirts and T-shirts for weekends and laid-back moments.

The News

Has just launched her first fragrance – called simply Caroline Charles plus a range of candles, body lotion and bath oil.
A new shop is planned for Exeter this September.

Instant View

Her own stores in Beauchamp Place, Richmond, Cheltenham, Harrogate, Guildford, Wilmslow and Tunbridge Wells. Also shops within Harrods, Harvey Nichols and Selfridges.

^ Is that a bad thing? It is very traditional. Princess Diana would have enjoyed this collection, I think.
