I find Lagerfeld has much the same vision as someone like Guesquiere at Balenciaga, the reference and execution of their shows are completely different but they are so ahead in what they are thinking even if I don't like the collection at first sight I know it will always make sense when I've had time to think about it. The set once again looks incredible. Chanel is the unrivaled master of branding and label envy, and for that I take my hat of to Mr Lagerfeld!

The back of that dress is pretty great, reminding me of the effects YSL used in color blocking to create new illusory shapes.

Overall this looks like a bunch of bad relics from his 80's shows. An American Apparel bathing suit and a country guitar are fun for a Chanel show, but the clothes don't hold up to the gimmick. SO FAR.

The store-front is pretty awesome though.

First Chanel collection which I'd LOVED since photo no. 1!!!

Amazing! So detailed and rich! And very very Couture influenced!

The set is amazing too.

And for ONCE I have not seen even ONE tacky piece. Everything is very well styled for once.
