Icon14 Damir Doma Mens S/S 08

I've stumbled across this presentation on getty and was so intrigued by the looks....found out that the Croatian born designer Damir Doma used to work for Raf Simons and Dirk Schoenberger...There's a great influence of Belgian and Japanese aesthetics in this collection, a cross bw Ann D and Number Nine / Julius, I like it, esp the draped checker shirt and the sheer one... I love the androgyny of the clothes...anyone got pics without the watermarks

very cool! another promising eastern european designer to watch out for. it's not the most original looks but very interesting nontheless. and you can certainly see a sort of contrast between his croatian roots and his experience with those two.

Scott, I agree that it's not very original but the clothes are strong, i'm not a fan of the metallic leggings like pants though...just love the fluidity of the silhouette

I can't see any of the images in the first post, unfortunately. These aren't very big, but there are no watermarks.

Rats - these are the last that have been loaded on wireimage that are worth posting at this point. I really wanted to see a full length image of the black and white coat in #10... later!

thanks for bringing this in, Kiddo!, I was just looking at it on getty images and it really caught my eye.. some very nice influences, he's obviously on the right track .. there are pieces in the collection, like the black leather jacket and the light brown shirt that seem slightly disproportioned.. a little too tight and uncomfortable.. I'm hoping he'll improve his fitting skills eventually.. other than that, one of the best surprises of this season, I reckon.

I really like this collection even though I agree it's somewhat derivative.
Love all those sheer and semi-sheer layers, very romantic feeling.

I reserved my comments on Damir untill seing who would pick him up & what pieces...after viewing on Seven & Bstore, collection still looks great, even if they have picked up the more reserved pieces (i loved the little loose pants & male ribbed leggings)...however, I can't help but feel short-changed. 600GBP for linen & Viscose? cummon.
