Dear KVA,

"You don’t have to go home, but you can’t stay here". Sweet jesus, what a horrible collection.

Horrified in Atlanta,

OK, so the only things that work for me are the first two all black suits and the laser cut leather jacket.

I actually do love those first two suits, the pants are fantastic....narrow, but the slight flare at the ankle keeps the legs from looking all spindly and birdlike (which imo is the main problem with skinny pants on guys).

The rest is just bad. I mean, the glasses are too Kanye, the shiny stuff is too hipster and the neon is too "done". I was thrilled that his first two collections seemed to avoid being trendy and street, I think that was his real strength....apparently he's given up on that and is in a position where he needs to pander to the old Dior clientele.

his first collection was really good ... i truly liked it ... it was a new vision for DH, sthg i liked : elegant and chic ... sthg fresh ..
the second wasn't amazing amazing ... but it was still ok ... 50/50

but now i just can't defend him anylonger !!!! it's AWFUL !!!
it's a disaster ....
and as Inaya said "you can't stay here ...."

i'm tough ... it's not really a disaster ...
but i just don't get how you can go from a very intimate presentation in bourgeois interior and now do something like that ....

i had been waiting for this all week...

the idea of this collection remained true to dior homme, but he didn't execute it very well.

That would be an insult to Raf. The problem is he can't even do better than Hedi let alone Raf.

And yes I must say the first collection was okay. Not good but way better than this one.

I won't hate because this collection isn't that bad, I really like some details in the jackets and shirts, I like how he used some gold, I mean it's not all black after all....

This collection is young, it's funny, it's summer-ish....as a Dior Homme fan myself I'm not as disappointed as when I was with the F/W collection, I know there are alot of things that Kriss have to improve, but Dior Homme is new for him, let's give him a chance, let's give him more time.

I would wear everything of this collection, I gotta confess that I miss Hedi, the cute slim models and those expresive and beautiful skinny jeans...but...you know....we still have Maison M.M, Prada, Burberry...

Maybe the Fashionista rumor's are true?

Is Hedi Going Back to Dior Homme?
Jun 26, 2008 @ 12:00pm

Hedi SlimaneA little fashion spy in LA tells us that Dior Homme is trying to get Hedi Slimane back into place.

According to them, Kris Van Assche is feeling the same corporate bull**** that Hedi felt and has had it with the whole thing.

Meanwhile, Dior itself is realizing that perhaps the reason Dior Homme was so lucrative under Hedi was because he was awesome, not because they tried hard to micromanage him.

So... is Hedi going back into negotiations with Dior Homme?

Or are there rocks in our head for suggesting it?

this is bad.. i got over the fact that hedi was gone and was ready for a new dior homme but this collection is so tacky and ugh.. what's up with the fitting of the skinny pants? even last season they were a mess, there's just something wrong. and it's not the model b/c these guys look good in other designer's skinny pants.

dior homme is getting worse and worse, i'm starting to really like ss08 now compared to this. but i did like the cut-out pieces..

i agree completley. this is so not what i've understood from KVA. I liked his first line for DH. sure it wasn't something Hedi would have done but it was nice sophisticated and safe enough. All the things a new head designer should be aiming for when designing for a new house.

this is so... not... i don't even know what to say but this is not acceptable.
