The denim skirts are hideous - really awful.
But, despite this, I just love the overall presentation of this show, it just works.

Afro-Caribbean influence is somewhat new as an ethnic angle. Certainly see a bit of it around Paris but never done this well.
Don't like the prints from the photos but the pieces are always marvels in real life so I will pass judgement.
I also agree that Marc Jacobs' collection and Prada's all fuse seemlessly into an interesting new form of rustic folk.

So beautiful. It's incredibly poetic and uplifting. First of all, the headpieces are magnificent. The prints are wonderful and the mixing of the prints and different fabrics is so well done...almost rivals Lacroix. And I LOVE all the portrait collars.

Delightful collection!

I loved this collection. I thought several of the dresses were shockingly wearable, without losing the construction and draping Watanabe's known for. Not to mention that the headpieces were stunning. An amazing show.

It is looking and feeling very much like very Early Gaultier. Especially the denim and fabric mixing and trumpet skirts not to mention the hair bushels!
I am liking it more and more (except the actual prints)

The first thing I thought when I saw the first picture was WOW! Whilst not strictly wearable those headpieces are fabulous!

the main infuence in JW collection was AFRICA, and the head pieces were inspired by the African workers which they are carrying their food on top of their head......is that simple

the draping is unreal.
the prints are alright, almost folk-ish with a twisted view?
