Still, I hope he does not get worse. We can only hope he gets better.

Must suck to have fun in your younger days and live to be in your 70s. I'd hpe to die in my 70s so I don't become old and feeble in my 80s or 90s.

how very PC and hypocritical of you to state such things dior....no need in getting preachy. as if your beloved behind your nickname and your favourites list is and ever has been the healthiest of them all.....same goes for donatella(she could be a proxy for skin cancer awareness...among the same things you're talking in respect of Yves). don't try and single him out. the man is 70...alot of people that age who never had the kind of lifestyle he's had still have health problems.

I hope he recovers soon. He's been hospitalized before but for some reason this time it sounds more serious.

Yves is a regular visitor for the American Hospital since his breakthrought in the Algerian war at his early 20's,...& there was his death rumor in the early 80's...oh I wish him a long healthy life...
since his retirement 5 years ago I am still dreaming for a comeback to the fashion scene

It's sad that he feels out of place in the "fashion world".

I hope that he gets better soon.

Why is extreme genius accompanied by borderline madness so many times? ...What a brilliant, sad man...

keep believing that...,

I respect Saint Laurentīs work and his tremendous legacy to the fashion world, but just look at his similars (rich, successful designers, no common mortals) whoīs perfumes arenīt called opium and champagne and do the math, I havenīt invented anything...
And indeed the fashion world is filled with excess and unhealthy habits that shorten the life of those we look up to, which we should, if we are smart enaugh though, look up as an example of what actually happen even to those we think are untouchable, but yet again, we can all post our thoughts, thatīs why this place was created, and if you think Saint Laurent canīt even walk at a very young age considering life standars today, and knowing he doesnīt have any sort of degenerative disease, because he is just "old", thatīs up to you.

^^ Regarding the above, I think there is a mountain of evidence that his problems were related to prolonged psychiatric issues and that the "unhealthy lifestyle" was essentially a result of that...
