i think the last time he even made a public statement was when he made those comments about tom ford a year before tom left. it's true,he's been very much a recluse but that's not surprising for anyone that's retired,i think. it also could be said,these presumtions,could based upon his very public fragile health before retiring.....everybody knew he was ill then. but 2000,though? that's ridiculous....he didn't even retire till 2002 which was plastered all over the news.

Good news! It seems M. Saint-Laurent is out of hospital. I read a rumor that he may be in Morocco for convalescence with his life partner.
Yves Saint-Laurent awarded high French honour

I don't pray often but I am gonna pray for him tonight. I checked out his "life achievement" thread recently and only than found out he's unwell He is not that old nowdays, he could have another good 20 years to live. I hope he recovers soon! Yves, our hearts and thoughts are with you!
I don't want to be a wet blanket, but...When he was hospitalized there were 500 news items about it and I've been checking AP and Reuters all day and there is no mention anywhere of him being discharged (other than that one line above from the award story)...Wouldn't that be a major story, especially in France?
