i dunno....mcqueen does do pretty simplistic things for mcq and i can certainly those particular aesthetics translating into something like target.

btw, don't forget libertine ....they did a fantastic job, imo. it was really appropriate for the kind of work they did.

I'm not sure it would really hurt his prestige too much and where he's trying to go with the brand. He's definitely trying to be known GLOBALLY and expand his brand to be more of a household name.

This could be good for him but I don't want to see skull scarves anymore. lol.

When I first heard this I thought "No H&M?". If McQueen is wanting to be more of a household name, then Target is good, but his prestige will indeed take a big hit. I mean none of the Go International stuff is known for being really great quality but I will definitely be lining up outside my local Target if this is true to get a few pieces.

H&M isn't in the majority of the country though. The nearest one to me is 500 miles away.

i LOVE the idea of target scooping H&M and grabbing mcqueen.

there's nothing really democratic about the designer stuff at H&M. its only in a few stores and the ebay vultures come out in full swing.

at least it isn't Kohl's, Kmart, Steve and Barry, or Wal Mart.

THAT would be absolutely dreadful.

I bet you a nickel there is going to be a poorly cut t-shirt with a McQueen skull on it. Possibly emblazoned with plastic rhinestones that fall off in a few hours.

Target definitely needs a more high profile designer to jumpstart the buzz on the GO series again. They started out with a bang then just went on a run of one obscure designer after another. It's admirable that they want to give attention to up-and-comers but they need to bring out the big guns sometimes to get people's attention.
