I dont think there is anything wrong with designs looking anonymous, why do the designers have to always stick to their signature, never got that argument, such paradox.

But i dont like this collection, the shoes are nice though.

the tailored pants and jackets are quite nice, the floaty dresses are dated and boring... what a waste of some beautiful colours

I loved that look too, adorefaith..
next to this one.

I'm indifferent to the rest. the only thing I know is that this is the first resort collection of the season that I've bothered commenting on..

I believe he wanted to keep that ethereal feeling but outside of the usual flowing garments, so he chose a light, soft and creamy colour palette. I guess that's his signature for this resort collection.

The sheer boots are to-die-for...The clothes are nice, if a bit mediocre, the long dresses are awful. Olivier hasn't truly impressed me since he took over Ricci

I agree. When he debuted at Ricci with that stunning FW 07 collection, I thought..."I'll be ok with Rochas's closing if Olivier continues to put out collecitons like this." And then SS 08 came around, and it's just gone down hill since then...

Me too.

I found myself far more interested in the footwear when looking through the collection.

The shoes are great upon close inspection; the highlight, as many of us agree. The clothes are weirdly dull, though.
