I don't know where that farmer picture posted here before was from, but I'm not sure I want to know either. Ew.
Hehe. It's from my home town, and unfortunatly a lot of people from small towns in Norway dress like that . Yes there are a lot of well dressed stylish people too ( I know several from that same town), it's like any other place in the world. I just see a lot of people that dress like that every single day... Even when they are going out

Swedish fashion is both utterly black/boring and fantastic. Tiger, JLindeberg and Filippa K makes me wanna shoot myself out of boredom, but then Carin Wester, Carin Rodebjer, Lovisa Burfitt and Diana Orving comes and makes it all good again!

you should think again if you love burfitt and hate JL. burfitts design is just tragic simple, you can barely compare this two labels, watch JLs wintershow. love.

JL aint hoodies with loggos, zzz.

Whyred is a great swedish brand, it's a little like ANCE and Filippa K, but with a smaller fit.

Okay, well this is my first post on this site I'll try to make a good first impression.

In Sweden we are, just as somebody mentioned before, pretty spoiled with nice jeans. Brands that are considered as pretty special in the US, for example Nudie and Acne, are considered as boring and way to mainstream in Sweden. If we use Acne as an example, their cheapest jeans; Acne Max Raw, are sold for 100 euro in Sweden and are avaible at every little town you can think of, and their most expensive washes are sold for about 170 euro. Compare that to the US where the jeans are sold for about $300-400(I can be wrong here, but that's the impression I've got from looking through the internet).

How ever, since Swedish jeans obviously are pretty hot in the rest of the world I'll just make a quick list with the most common Swedish brands and post a short comment next to the name, just see it as a little help when shopping Swedish brands.

Acne Jeans: One of the most popular brands in Sweden when it comes to jeans, almost every high school-teen with the slightest interest in how they dress owns at least one pair. Acne Jeans are more popular among boys and men since their femme-jeans have pretty high waist and aren't as easy to wear. The tightest and most popular fit is called Max, which is pretty tight all the way, Mod is another fit which is a bit looser around the bum and over the thies, but are as tight as Max from the knee and down and Moc has a slightly more baggy fit all the way.

Cheap Monday: A pretty new Swedish brand that has been on the market for about two years now. The jeans are extremely popular thanks to the ridiciously(spelling?) low price(about $50) and the extremely tight fit. The jeans have become famous in Sweden for the, according to me, really silly and ugly logo and are often associated with the more alternative teens, even though the jeans are popular among other people as well. The bad things with these jeans are that the quality is pretty bad and since they contain so much stretch-material it's almost impossible to get a nice look on the raw denim. Another bad thing is that alot of people in Sweden are really to chunky to wear the jeans, but most of the times the don't realize it, so the jeans look very bad on alot of the people who wear it.

(part of the logo, credits to manolo.se)

Filippa K Jeans: Filippa Knutsson is a well-known Swedish designer who also designes men clothing, she ins famous for her simple and, according to many people, really boring clothes. Filippa K also does jeans and this fall their releasing their first pair of jeans with selvedge. Since I've never tried a pair of jeans from Filippa K I can't really comment on how nice they are, but according to me there are alot of better Swedish alternatives.

Julian Red Jeans: For now probably the best and most interesting jeans-brand in Sweden is called Julian Red. Julian Red is not at all as popular as Nudie, Acne or Cheap Monday, and their quality is great, especially their selvedge-jeans. This season they've also released a bunch of different colored jeans, for example a really cool yellow one. My favorite fit is called Hoboken and is a very tight fit, perfect if you're thin like me.

Nudie Jeans: I don't think they need any comment, but I'll write one anyway. Nudie is famous for great quality jeans with big stitching on the back pockets formed as a type of tornado. Nudie has been very popular in Sweden for the last couple of years but now people are getting more and more tired of the brand and are switching to brands like Acne Jeans. The jeans are avaible in tons of different fits and washes, all from raw baggy selvedge to tight stonewashed. Nudie also has one pair of jeans which are maid in Japan.

(The back pockets, credits to rakuten.co.jp)

Whyred Jeans: Another Swedish designer-brand that also sells jeans, Whyred(pronounced "Why-red?") are unlike all the other brands except from Filippa K not specified on jeans and they only have two fits which I know of. Whyred Dee is the tightest fit and it's avaible in a huge range of colors this spring/summer, yellow, white, red and purple, the fit is according to me perfect if you're really skinny and love the slim-fit. The other fit is called Whyred Hell and is pretty close to Acne Mod; a bit looser at the top with a smaller leg-opening. Whyred is together with Julian Red still not very mainstream here in Sweden and that's probably also why I like it alot.

To sum it all up the price range is between $120 and $200 with a few exceptions, for example really expensive washes or some limited releases. Cheap Monday is the only brand which has another pricing, their jeans cost as I mentioned before from about $50 and more.

And last but not least, my own two pair of Swedish jeans:
