this girl is so talented... she is playing a show here in sydney in a few weeks but unfortunately the venue is really small and already sold out
she has been compared to a young joni mitchell.. one of her heroes.. the comparison is not so much a surprise, though, as it seems almost all young folk singer songwriters these days are called the new joni mitchell.. anyway i think her music is lovely and surprisingly mature for such a young girl... she is only 18 yrs old..
her voice reminds me a lot of someone but i cant quite put my finger on it..
I was reading somewhere today that Laura was barred from getting into one of her own gigs because she looked too young, so she strapped on her guitar and started playing outside!
Her voice doesn't remind me of Lily Allen at all. I have to admit I just now had to try to remember what Lily Allen even sounds like to even think about that because I haven't listened to her music much.

I've only heard a few of her songs but I like them a lot, especially Ghosts. I've put in an order for the album from Amazon, just waiting for it to turn up.
