Used to listen to Portishead at the after-after-hours party. Those fooked up sounds sort of make "sense" after being up for 24.

Here's something I wrote about 4-5 years ago. Not sure how good it is, but it's relevant to this thread;

Throughout our lives, most of us will go through good times and bad times. But when you're like me, most of those times are sour times. I mean, all you do is find yourself lost, traveling down different roads, cascading through this vast sea like a wandering star, wondering if any one out of this multitude... if any one of these different strangers you meet could be the one that you could call all mine. But then, in the blink of an eye, it's over, and you're left in the stark, unfortunately familiar solitude humming that same tune. That same mourning air breezes past your face with such a piercing cold that it leaves your cheeks numb. And you realize that the glory box that you once had has now just crumbled to cinder, as if it's a fire burning your heart away. You are then abruptly undenied all the hurt that you once remembered as you, in a feeble attempt at emotional self preservation, perch yourself back on that pedestal and think; that as little as seven months ago, it was only you whose western eyes I wanted to gaze into.....
- Oh well, now I sit, alone, half day closing, and all that I could think about is if I could just find that one, that other half........ - Oh, how it could be sweet.
