Which Songs Should Be Covered?

have any of you ever thought "i'd really love to hear so-and-so do this song! it would be great!" ....well, i often do and i thought it was a good time to start a thread like this. what in your wildest dreams would you want to hear??

i'll start it off:

- scissor sisters doing a cover of the supremes "love child"

- cibo matto covering len's "steal my sunshine"

- ace of base covering abba's "gimme gimme gimme (a man after midnight)"

... i had others but i forgot!

Dimmu Borgir covering American Pie.

It wouldn't be better than the original, but I'd like to hear it...

I can tell you who I DONT want to do ANY more covers and that is Jessica Simpson.

If she ruins anything else for me like she did with Robbie Williams 'ANGELS' and Berlin's 'TAKE MY BREATH AWAY' and now Nancy Sinatra I'm going to be sick!

The Scissor Sisters however, can cover whatever they want because they'll do an amazing job.

i, too, would love to hear that cibo matto cover but i vehemently disagree about the scissor sisters because i think they're terrible and i think they'd ruin any song they covered.

i'd like to hear blonde redhead cover some serge gainsbourg songs, i think. they'd be amazing if kazu sang them. some of br's songs sound a lot like gainsbourg's but i don't think they've ever covered any.

I want Tori Amos to cover "Plowed" by Sponge. Just her and her Bosendorfer, none of that post-Boys For Pele over-accompaniment (sp? proper musical term?).

I'd like to hear Gavin DeGraw do a cover of The Rolling Stones' "Angie"

I think he has the right voice to do it.
