Jessica snubbed

Sources say the Miu Miu campaign recently landed by Lindsay Lohan could have been Jessica Simpson's if it weren't for her bizarre devotion to her hairdresser. Simpson reportedly made it to the shortlist of celebs the design house had in mind, but her name was nixed once the photographers on the campaign got wind of the possibility. "They felt snubbed by Jessica because they were set to do her Vanity Fair shoot several months ago," said a source of Simpson's cancelled VF issue. "Being the professionals they are, they wanted to bring in their own hair and makeup team, but Jessica said if they didn't use Ken, then she wasn't sitting for the shoot." The story was allegedly cancelled when Simpson insisted she would not discuss her then-recent split from Nick Lacheybut an insider says the real reason was the hairdresser issue. "Most fashion photographers use their own people - and they certainly don't use Ken Paves, who is considered tacky and amateurish for high-fashion shoots. He's very 'Texas pageant' hair." Simpson's rep denies the story, saying, "She could not have done the [Miu Miu] campaign anyway because she has her own clothing and shoe line."

neither of them deserve the MiuMiu campaign anyway...

Why does she insist on using him? She has inch-thick dark roots & yes, pageant hair. She looks very tacky imo and would look much better if she would hire someone more professional. She probably needs to take a hint from Nicole and get a new stylist while she's at it.

That is the best quote I've read in ages. Jessica screams pageant hair.

And Jessica and Mui Mui in the same sentance is just wrong. So wrong.

I fully believe that this story is 100% bullsh*t. Ms Prada probably hasn't even heard of Jessica.

Well having Lindsay isn't much better. Come on.

I think its great that Jessica is so devoted to her friend that she wants to keep him working... but when you are in the business of promoting yourself you have to be open to working with other people and letting them translate their idea of beauty.

I thought Miuccia didn't like the whole celeb obsession (particularly the extra trashy kind). I though that's why she doesn't have celebs lining her front rows at shows, etc. Not that Prada is neccesarily a super bastion of singular good taste, but I really don't see her choosing Simpson for anything.

Texas Pageat Hair. That is the most perfect discription. In this monthes Bazaar, I believe, there is an article about Ken, and Jessica, and the wig/extension company they have. In it they say that Jessica only wears wigs because a few years ago, some other stylist cut off her hair or something, I guess her hair grows really slowly

I think most celebs hair usually looks really awful, and fake. They mention Britney in the article also, saying that you don't want your hair to look like that, but I don't see to much deference between Simpson and Spears, maye just that Simpson has more people styling her.
Of course Lohan isn't any better. Lets just hope the whole story is fictitious I guess.
