Jude Law arrested in London

Jude Law was arrested on Tuesday after he allegedly assaulted paparazzi outside his London home. The British actor turned himself in, was fingerprinted and bailed to return next month.

A police spokesman said: “A 34-year-old man from Maida Vale was arrested yesterday on suspicion of actual bodily harm after voluntarily attending a London police station.

“The arrest followed an allegation of assault yesterday at a residential address in Maida Vale.

“The 34-year-old man was released on bail to a date in October pending further inquiries.”

this really p***es me off...i know they're stars and famous, and it's part of the lifestyle, but s**t, give people some space and get out of they're face! i saw another actor getting into it with paps trying to protect his infant son....im disgusted that paps get away with so much.

there should be some sort of law that if you a pap you have to be XX amount of feet/yards/meters away from the celeb......it''s just insanity they invade these peoples daily lifes and keep them from doing normal things like driving out of a parking spot or buying groceries..........

I would go all Mama Bear too!!!
He is famous, not his kids...
He doesn't use them for publicity unlike other celebs so I imagine he values their privacy.

Yes, the paparazzi must be annoying to the Stars but they need to remember that without pictures and interest THEY WOULDN`T HAVE FAME / MONEY & JOBS!

Aside from that violence is never a solution. An adult like Jude Law should be able to settle his problems in a civilised manner!

Very true...
he is an adult and should know better...
but I imagine he just saw red.

I would like to think actors get jobs based on their abilities...
but I know that is not always the case now.
I think paps are part of the problem of no good actors anymore...
people are becoming famous for nothing- just being in the weeklies is enough.
A true actor gets merit for their work.

I think that's true for some celebrities, but not necessarily actors. Kevin Spacey and Jodie Foster are very rarely papped, but they've both won two Oscars and continue to get good jobs. If anything, the paps are discouraging people from liking Jude, seeing as he always looks grumpy and aging in his pictures. I think the paps are more useful to people like Kate Moss, who relies on the beautiful, stylish image she projects daily to sell whatever aspirational product she is currently promoting.

I don't have much sympathy for stars when they get surrounded by paps at places like The Ivy & Hyde because they are obviously going there to be seen & get their picture taken. I do have sympathy for the celebs who are out with their kids and who get hassled entering & leaving their home - they should be able to live their private lives in private.

Folks like Paris and Britney are dying to have their pictures taken, not all celebs want to be in the limelight.

There was an interesting article I read this week about how the sale of pap pics has become such a lucrative business that you have convicted felons, gang members & illegal immigrants acting as paps. Would you really want to be surrounded by former gang members & convicted felons late at night when you were trying to get into your home by yourself?

Any time i have seen footage of famous people actually attacking paps, you can hear the paps egging them on basically, insulting them and pushing their buttons trying to get a reaction. Its bull****, it should be illegal.

That is very scary.
That and the fact that they are followed by droves of cars freak me out....
I can barely drive as it is ....
I can't imagine trying to while being followed and snapped.
