Sources tell ET today that Orlando and Kate have decided to split.

</SPAN>ET breaks the news that 'Pirates of the Caribbean' star ORLANDO BLOOM and on-again, off-again girlfriend of nearly four years, 'Superman Returns'' KATE BOSWORTH, have split.

Sources close to the former couple tell ET today that Orlando and Kate have decided to go their separate ways.

The couple's rep could not be reached for comment.

Orlando is currently on location in Southern California shooting 'Pirates of the Caribbean: At Worlds End.' He was last seen on the "Teen Choice Awards"' red carpet August 20, where he accepted the surfboard award for "Choice Hottie."

I JUST read this! I liked them together, but I am not really that shocked about the split. I saw Kate in a recent interview, and she seemed less than enthusiastic about Orlando. At the time, I thought maybe she was just trying to be private, but she seemed...different.

In any case, they are both cute. I'm sure someone will want 'em.

I think they split like a month ago, they haven't been photographed for awhile. At first I was like no that can't be they both seem perfectly smiley, but I then I read this interview with Kate someone posted and she was talking about how she's never had a bad breakup... I don't think she does the big fight, get out of my life thing. So yeah, I guess its over... I'll really smack them if they get back together after this though. I hate when people can't make up their damn minds about each other.

^^ I bet you that either Orlando pulls out (he could never make the movie anyway as his was busy with POTC until pratically the end of the yr) or the entire movie gets canned. I never saw it going ahead. These 2 never went to a premiere together and we were supposed to believe that they were going to co-star in a movie?
