I dont see how someone could get sick of biographies...unless they've missed good adaptations of course.
anyway, i'd like to see gwyneth as deitrich...or any actress anyway. i find it a little strange that people go inmediately into physical comparisons when a a contemporary actress is playing a legendary one 'she doesnt look like her', it's acting goddamit, not imitation.
I don't mind Paltrow, but even if I did, I can't imagine getting too worked-up over these things. Marlene will always be Marlene, whether or not a harmless biopic attempts to debunk this fact - and I fully believe the recent influx of biopics serve a purpose in filling the void which comes from having few present-day icons who can compare to the likes of their featured subjects...
With that said, I'd love to pick the cast of Lindsay Lohan: From Birth to... Here...

I agree with you its all about good acting no actress can totally look like Marlene,Marilyn,Audrey.etc and that is not even the point!!!I love bios and i saw a lot of damn good ones,Capote blew me away!

I could have sworn that Kevyn Aucoin made her over into Marlene in his book "Making Faces" for some reason.
Anyway, I am sure that other actresses could have played it better, but I think that Gwyneth will do a fine job. She is not a bad actress. Plus, she has not been in a movie in so long that maybe she will really give this her all as her sort of "comeback role". Wouldn't be surprised if she took the role thinking in the back of her mind: Biopic = Oscar.
