Sarah Jessica Parker to Lauch Fragrance

Former Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker has signed a new deal to develop her own line of fragrances.

The brand name and the exact perfume scent are still works in progress, but the stylish star says the first perfume--to be issued by Coty Inc--will be "fresh."

She explains, "It'll be intentionally quiet, not a very aggressive scent. It's not a scent you'll smell before a person walks in a room. I don't want it to not have social skills!

"This is a part of my life I want to share with others... I really, really thought about it. I've been invited into women's lives and I take that seriously."

Fragrance is something that has been important since her childhood. When she went to the hospital to give birth to her son, James, two years ago, Parker admits she brought her perfume because it's an important part of her daily routine. She adds, "Fragrance is a necessity on days you don't have time to shower." The fragrance is expected to hit stores in the autumn.

I bet (and hope) that she will be the first celeb to do this right .

I remember last yr in an interview with Steven CoJo (for ET), he was looking thru her purse and she had a little bottle of perfum that she said she'd made and he asked her about it. She said that she's always mixed things herself and was possibly working on something.

See I like SJP. I thought she was different. I hope she doesn't go any further.

I have come to the realization that celebrities are just bored! they are running out of things to do in life.

After Sex and the City, she needs something to occupy her time

So it seems that all celebrities are jumping on the fashion / perfume bandwagon. All the celebs employ people to tell them what to wear, what to do, someone to do their hair, someone to flush their poo out of them twice a week - does no one employ someone to tell them what they really should not do? What will be next?

ok, I thought of a few things celebs can sell next:

Celeb bank accounts and credit cards : get the same amount of credit as JLo and see if you can use it as fast as her.

Their own magazines: pictures and pictures of themselves looking great and apparently giving invaluable life advice (whoops, Oprah already done it - curses! Why didn't she call the mag "Narcissistic? Me?")

Toiler paper (would tie in nicely with SJP Eau de Toilette)

You get the idea
