Alasdair McLellan - Photographer

It seems Alasdair is getting a great platform for creating creative fashion photography at POP magazine, and i simply love his work.

I'm yet to find his 'trademark', something that calls for immediate identification from me but I can't say I'm immune to his work, I have a sense that he must be wonders for a stylist to work with.. he seems to give them so much room to be creative and portrays their ideas with amazing clarity, there's a lot of energy in his work and he seems to capture the chemistry of the entire shoot through his pictures.. pretty baby was one of my favorite stories last year.. his play with shadows and contrasts.. it's so gorgeous.

thanks for the thread, miss dalloway.

I came to know McLellan mostly through POP magazine and i have to say at first i wasnt impressed at all,his work didn't intrigue me but years later i have grown more and more in love with his work.
What you said is so true, he gives room to the model and styling and setting, i never ever get that he is pretentious or going to faar and not being himself. His photographs feel honest to me, he has a great talent for portraying "real" feelings and making you take note and like them for what they are.

And you are welcome, i was surprised he didnt have a thread alredy.
