Oh so, people have to just agree and get along with what YOU think is better ?

I still don't see the point. You open the other thread and 80 % of it is dedicated to his work, so what's the urge ?

So what do people have to do with the other thread ? Not post his work in it ? It's completely useless and confusing.

But hey knock yourself out posting editorials which have already been posted.

Well if the other thread is mostly his work maybe it can just be renamed. Carine and Julia Roitfeld have separate threads, etc...

I'm only trying to make this section of the forums more organised. In any case it's just some online threads for our own entertainment, no need to speak to me like that.

Why a thread that has been created/opened BEFORE yours and that never confused anyone in terms of use would have to be renamed ? ESPECIALLY since it's no big deal, it's ten pages along so it's really easy to browse his stuff through it, so I really don't see why yours makes things easier.

Carine and Julia have separate threads a) since no-one made a thread about the Roitfeld family b) because the Carine Roitfeld's thread is dedicated to her work and her fashion style so it would have been a pain in the *** to find Julia's pics if Carine Roitfeld's thread had been dedicated to her and her family.

It doesn't matter which was created before which. Posts can simply be moved to his individual thread. Only takes a few minutes so no hassle. It will make things easier because when members search 'Mario Sorrenti' they will find his thread.

Is their some benefit of viewing the works of Vanina and Mario together? I'm not sure why you are angry about it, sorry if I've upset you.

You should have then proposed your idea in the original thread instead of just opening one because hey, yours is supposed to be better. It does matter because you're not the only person to post here so you should respect the ones who created their threads before yours.

Frankly ? I just type in his name, find the other thread and browse through it, I didn't see the hassle, but wow, this thread made things so much easier really.

I opened this because it is in keeping with the forum tradition, to have individual threads for individual photographers.

OK so you see no benefit to viewing Vanina and Mario's work together? And you agree it will be a little more organised.

Your real objection, then, seems to be that it is disrespectful to other users in the sorrenti family thread. Actually the issue of respect hadn't occured to me because I think of it in terms of the general organisation of the forum, I didn't think anyone would object to Mario having his own thread. In fact other members of this forum team supported the idea.

I'll take you advice and ask those people who posted in the family thread if they mind that their posts be moved to this thread.

I never agreed on this .

And yeah, I think it would have been more polite if you had asked first, instead of just barging in and opening your thread.

I just didn't/don't see the point of this thread since I never saw/encountered any problem to browse Sorrenti's work and some people haven't either apparently since a lot of them posted in it.

Thank you for this thread sethii, I'm such a fan of Mario's work, and the other thread is too messy, I think.
