Predominantly focusing her lens on female subjects, Wendy Bevan's Polaroid-derived photography for i-D, Pop, The Observer, Tank and The Independent is compellingly characterised by its grainily realised dark settings and beautifully sinister mood.

oh! thank you for starting this thread!
i had come across her work a few weeks ago, i remember mentioning it to francesca because i thought they have a similar aesthetic in some points..
i love the nostalgic air that you mentioned and how she seems to whisper stories in her series.

such beautiful stuff. made me very dreamy
one of those groups of pictures were in Lula magazine.. only they were made to look like polaroids I think.

I love her style, the shot of the model climbing on the carpeted stairs is classic, Love to see her work in more commercial setting like magazines to see how they look like

No need provided she's using a camera that has the 669/667 series of Polaroid as Fuji still manifactures them =)

I love these btw and they are a big inspiration for a upcoming shoot i have which actually will be shot entirely on polaroids (allthough fujis

Oh yay for the old-school

I admire the fact she doesn't rely just in the old school aesthetic. Space, protagonists and lighting... everything so poetically mastered..

Very, very profound.
