Icon14 Gary Card - Set Designer

I think Gary Card is so talented.
His sense of aesthetic is clearly well beyond than many designers.
He is the kind of the person that make me want to be the fashion industry.
The picture in Another Magazine is not just high fashion, I think it is beyond high fashion.

From:

The fashion scene is awash with hanger ons, talentless hacks, and the type of people who don’t serve any purpose other than to dress like a complete idiot at fashion week. Fortunately, it’s also filled with people with real talent.
Set designer Gary Card is one such talent that deserves some major attention for his amazing set design. His understanding of color, texture and aesthetics makes him the current “must have” for any photographer or designer and his work with Paul Smith has given his career a series shot of mainstream worthyness. AnOther Man caught up with the rising star, photographing him in front of some of his own work.
We have the picts below…

an excerpt from Diane: A Shaded View on Fashion

Quote:
Gary Card looks like a young and much more handsome Andy Warhol, he makes sets and decor and lives in London. Hangs out with Cassette Playa and they are often mistaken as brother and sister.

The puppets are the project for Uniqlo selling cashmere.
I haven't bought the AnOther Man magazine but I will buy it next week to know more about him.
But I knew him from the introduction of a Hong Kong fashion magazine.
Rei Kawakubo is the first person that appreciate his talent and has several projects with him.
Now there is an exhibition by Gary in the Garcons in HK.
