Agyness/Laura Hollins - whatever she wants to call herself is the name I'll use.

Plenty of models adopt new names (or new versions of their name) - some get given these names by agencies - and a huge number of actors, entertainers and celebrities past and present go by names different to their birth ones.

Agyness is so unremarkable in having a 'new' name - we might as well start calling everyone we see in the media by their 'true' names. If we don't like Agyness, well, we can't possibly like every person we see in magazines or on screen, so why not give everyone the same treatment and start calling them by their birth names too? If it's a valid thing to do, extend it to everyone that's disliked, and be fair with the practice.

But the reason we don't do that is because it would expose us as being immature. We just confine it to Agyness, and because we're doing it to only one person, that's supposed to make it OK.

I imagine her family and friends are fine to call her Laura. It's an irony that the ones on the internet using the name are anything but the former.

Are you kidding me? It's the stagename she adopted and I really don't see why people who don't like her say Laura Hollins. Let's start calling Natasha Poly, Natalia Polevshchikova then and John Galliano, Juan Carlos Galliano. Seriously, get over it.

Anyway, back on topic now...

It only ever seems to be Agyness that it happens to, which is why it seems mean-spirited to me. If there were a wider trend for attacking 'assumed names' then she'd be fair game as just one of many who have done it, but there doesn't seem to be.

Anyway, Playboy - who jump at any chance to celebrate an anniversary - will honour its 55th year with the January 2009 issue. I mention it because usually they run a section with all their previous covers, so for anyone who's a fan of their vintage style, there could be some good content.

^ I totally agree tigerrouge. The insistence on calling Agyness Laura Hollins is so petty.

true. she really is one of the few actresses who suit fashion photography imo, along with julianne moore, eva green, tilda swinton, and a very few other ones.

The alleged photo is going to be the cover shot for the November edition of W magazine according to Life & Style. A source told the magazine: "Angelina posed for Brad (Pitt) in one of the photos while breast-feeding. "It's really beautiful and tastefully done." It is thought that Brad took the photos of Angelina a month after she gave birth to Knox and Vivienne.
I saw a pic of the cover and while she's got guts to do that...there are some things that need to be kept under wraps. There's nothing tasteful about it.
