^ That's aside from the subscription.

What a deal.

But if you think about it, magazines should be paying US to read them and look at the advertisements. But anyway.

Basically more "subscribers" means that they can charge more from advertisers. I mean, it's like how you can get the magazine subscription for super cheap on ebay. I mean, I only pay like a total of $20 for a whole year subscription of Vogue, Bazaar and W. I rarely even read them, but its like less than $1 and issue.

I doubt there is a catch to this; what Nylon is probably hoping for here is more subscribers in the long run. By giving out free subscriptions now, there's a chance that when the year is over many of the subscribers will like it enough to pay for another year.

It's a good marketing technique, if you ask me.

If only vogue Italia would give away free subscriptions .

That's exactly what I do- with Paper, Interview, Teen Vogue, and a few others besides. They sit around unopened and sometimes I bring them to work or something. My only wish is that I could cut out the ebay middle-person and find wherever they are giving away the subscriptions for free. Still, $4 or $5 for a 3 year subscription is pretty cool.

And yes, it is all about getting more "subscribers" for the advertisers.

That's lame ,it's not like Canada is super far away from the US.

Regular magazine subscriptions can take forever to process, so I don't have hope of this free one being any faster. I signed up some of my friends too.
