So, I got the issue in the mail today. Despite the fact that it's associated with Myspace, It's actually decent. Perhaps they're doing more with those disappointed readers' letters than just publishing them. There's an interview with model Darla Baker, who is precious, and an overwhelming amount of bands featured. A lot that I love and a bunch that I'm excited to check out, but here's a few that featured are in the pages:

Feist, Mandy Moore, Spoon, Voxtrot, the Pipettes, Kings of Leon, The Plastiscines (gorgeous shoot), Frida Hyvonen, Peter Bjorn and John, El Perro del Mar, the Virgins, Interpol, and probably a hundred more. Not much fashion, although there is a questionable Harajuku-esque editorial, but I'll accept this issue much more than the Lohan and Christina covers, for sure.

Yeah, my thoughts on the issue were similar to june_gloom's. The whole myspace thing is annoying and I was hoping I would see The Arcade Fire or someone on the cover, but the issue is actually okay. They've tried some new ways of laying out the content, which I like, and they actually mentioned a lot of musicians who I haven't heard of and definitely want to check out now. Some good articles on musicians I like too. And it was interesting to read about Darla Baker. The issue is different, I can say that.
