Ooh the canceled ed sounds amazing.....they need to publish it Reminds me of the story that Galliano's S/S 04 collection was canceled because it was to raunchy just weeks prior to fashion week and then he came up with the Victorian doll theme. Apparantly it had bloody furs and bodyparts all over the place

Back on topic, the Aline ed looks incredible. The lighting is perfect. So soothing....it reminds of those beautiful autumn mornings where the sun shimmers through the red and yellow leaves. Love it...

The story that was supposed to have run last month was inspired by Kohei Yoshiyuki and his voyeuristic photography. From what I've heard lots of posed sex positions and what not. Marcel is right, apparently it was deemed too shocking (or what have you) and was not published. Viktoriya's story moved up a month (October -> September) and then they shot Viktoriya, Anna Jagodzinska and Sessilee to make up for October.

For as last minute as this main story was, it's not bad. Certainly not the most inspirational editorial of the year, especially when you consider the genius of last year's October edit. Still, it's nice.

Oh, and Iris Strubegger has a story inside as well by Mert & Marcus that is incredible!

I would think that M&M are the most likely to take over VI when Meisel goes.

Yes, the editorial that nobody has seen - it's a handy rumour to promote interest in a slightly lacklustre magazine for a few months. Until we all see it, it doesn't exist, and the rumour is no more than someone riding on the way everyone talks about upcoming covers and content in VI.

There's no cultural/commercial/moral strictures on Vogue Italia's content, so there's no reason for it not to be run, unless it isn't good enough. Have they turned a dropped editorial into an exciting rumour that explains its absence? If we're not seeing it, maybe it's not worth seeing.

I could be totally wrong though but I really think Prada wanted a cover and Prada gets what it wants .

that sounds really interesting. i remember talking to Viktoriya's mother agency owner who said they waited if Viktoriya's ed would make it to the September issue. so i guess they had some hesitation at VI.

what a safe time we're living in...

If I knew anything else I would have shared it with everyone. That's the only other editorial that I know of that had not been mentioned. The story they did is absolutely beautiful, very true to M&M.

^ Anna J was part of the cast shot for the sadism story as well. She might have even been chosen for the cover for that.
