^ oh that's the english version which is different from the original. They changed it to be a kids cartoon by removing some suggestive scenes, and the voice acting is so bad compared to the japanese original.

Sailor Moon would be better with more inventive episodes such as the one with Luna being pursued by the cat gang and another cat who loves her. Most of them are kind of identical

I heard there was one episode when someone drew a picture of a man one of the sailors could date... He had a huge nose and very un-sailormoon-style like And then that girl started seeing the very man in the drawing in a lot of guys This is the one episode I missed... Does it really exist?

Ella-Picobella there are just some things they changed...
For example Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus are not cousins

somehow I cant edit the above post , but I am watching the german version now, as I you sad the english is different from the original. I checked and the German is supposed to be like the Japanese version

i guess europe is more accepting of nudity
here, when usagi transforms into sailor moon her whole body is this digital shimmering silhouette... but in the japanese, it's her real body with the skin and everything

Yep - I would say the Japanese original is dramatically different (and better) than the English! I do find Sailormoon to be repetitive, but it's so much a part of my youth that I've watched the first season a few times! n_n;

I do really like Sailormoon Stars (the final season) - the villains are much more developed, as is the storyline.


I just finished watching Gainax's latest anime - Gurren Lagann, which has also just begun airing on American TV (I believe the Sci-Fi channel). Anyone seen it yet?

I was so confused with Sailor Uranus' character because I grew up watching the American animes but read the French translated mangas (which were the original, but I didn't realise at that time)... in the French translated mangas the tension between her and Neptune was much more obvious! So my friends and I were always arguing on whether she was a lesbian or a male. I had to 'wikipedia' her to find out the truth.

never watch it in English. rarely do they do a good voiceover
and they tend to cut off a lot of things.
even with subs sometimes they mess up, i'm all screaming at the screen,
"THAT'S NOT WHAT HE SAID!"

gurre lagann, that's next on my list.
just finished watching Baccano, kind of slow but then it gets good.
