^my best friend is a YAOI fanatic. She writes/reads RPS and writes lemons occasionally. Whenever we go to Borders, she literally attacks the bookshelf

I recently started reading manga myself. In fact, there is an anime convention in Anaheim, CA on July 1 if anyone is interested. I think the registration fee is about $30.

She writes her own manga? It's called "Lemons"?

The anime for this season are very very good, I recommend:
Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion
Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge- funniest thing I've watched in a long while....
Death Note
D.Gray-man

And also, my all time favorite Bleach!!

[In case you havent noticed, its shounen over shougo for me]

OMG...yess! My friend let me read the first volume in exchange for letting her borrow some anime dvd's; and I've gotta say this is one of the best romance mangas I've read in a while.

my best friend is OBSESSED.
I never know what he's talking about, I just gather he's quite the snob on the subject since he seizes anime people according to their favorite..shows?.
he probably hangs out with me because i simply dont care.

he has a radio show every friday. about anime, of course.
he even went to Japan last year for some sort of...anime festival?.

Anime and manga are huge here amongst the teenagers, like all things Japan seem to be. My friend's little sister and her friends are obsessed, and it's funny to hear them talk since I don't understand anything they are talking about.
