Button Trays and Button Bowls:

Quote:
Ordinary buttons become extraordinary once they are stitched and knotted together to create these unique trays. These sturdy, yet pliable pieces are a versatile addition to any room.

I actually just ordered the medium sized tray as a gift for my mother for Christmas

I love those Tord Boontje plates... I would happily spend a fortune on such things, if they wouldn't look so out of my place in my house. Some day...

Concetta Gallo for Habitat porcelain plates...

I love the button dishes. They are really something. However, i don't know if i believe their "sturdy" claim. they look so delicate

strawb i really love the colors of the habitat plates

i've found that i really respond to sets of plates that have different designs on each plate but that clearly go together..
like the tord boontje plates and the Concetta Gallo plates..
they've got that common thread but i feel like you're getting more design and variety for your money which is always great..

i would love to get quirky, fun, creative plates and bowls when i get my own place..
it's just a good way to get a little added pleasure from everyday tasks/occurrences (like eating and washing dishes)

Gothic Dinner Plate Set - made from high quality, durable melamine. ''The pattern is an exclusive Thomas Paul design that references traditional motifs used in fine china and adds a modern gothic spin''.

Nymphenburg sketches bowls

Designed by Hella Jongerius, but based on German sketches from the 1920s...

I don't like them, but they're an interesting idea... arrange your food around them I guess...
